I'm a digital designer, a social media manager, and all things visual communication. I have seven years of design experience creating logos, posters, flyers, pamphlets, websites, and social media graphics. For two years, I created content and managed social media for an award-winning local bakery and cafe. I've enjoyed that experience the most because it exposed me to so many different people and had me involved in several different tasks, from making lattes to serendipitously meeting other local small business owners who needed a designer. It made me realize that I love working face to face with people-- real, fun, different people with different backgrounds, businesses, and beeswax. 

 

I work with empathy, which means that I put myself in my clients' shoes and in the shoes of their audience while I work (yeah, it's a lot of shoes). I read the room and the energy, because that provides more authentic work and a more authentic designer-client relationship. I would even call it "human," and in turn, "harmonious." It's important to me that I'm working from my heart and my client and I are learning more about each other and what we're putting out into the world.

As a person, you really only need know three things about me: I love bees, I love pirates, and I love the song Dead Man's Party by Oingo Boingo. Well... I also love to write freeform poetry and occasionally draw on Adobe Fresco. I love exploring and connecting to new places, travelling, reading historical fantasy/fiction and non-fiction (especially if it's about pirates), and I love learning about the relationship between our bodies and nature. Nature-based skincare is super cool to me and that's something I really would love to research and even create one day. I could eat endless amounts of olives, watch bumblebees on a single lavender bush for a whole day, and eat a bowl of nails for breakfast (without any milk). Any SpongeBob fans out there?
